About Us
The Billings Tennis Association (BTA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting and developing tennis in Billings, Montana, and the surrounding region. Founded in the early 1950s and obtaining nonprofit status in 1986, the BTA has been a driving force for tennis in Eastern Montana. The association partners with local facilities, schools, and community organizations to offer programs for all ages and skill levels.
The BTA works closely with the Big Sky Pickleball & Tennis Club, the only indoor tennis facility in Billings, to provide scholarships for junior lessons and support YMCA summer tennis camps. Adult leagues, mixed doubles events, and summer tennis socials foster a vibrant tennis community.
As the organizer of USTA-sanctioned tournaments in the region, Billings is the only sanctioned tournament site in Eastern Montana, drawing players from surrounding states and Canada. The BTA has also raised funds for court improvements, including lighting and resurfacing at Pioneer Park, enhancing the local playing experience.
Looking ahead, the BTA is actively engaging the community to plan a new indoor tennis facility in Billings. Through its programs, tournaments, and community initiatives, the BTA continues to unite and inspire tennis enthusiasts of all ages.
