DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Write grants and contracts to develop resources and programs for MCIE among local, regional, state, and federal programs in accordance with the missions and visions of MCIE, College of Education, and MSUB.
- Identify and secure funds through donations from organizations and private donors in coordination with the MSUB Foundation
- Oversee the fiscal responsibilities of the MCIE in coordination with the Dean of the College of Education, the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs, and the Office of the Academic Vice Chancellor (Provost) of MSUB.
- Represent MCIE with local, state, and federal organizations; as well as the Montana University System.
- Supervise and coordinate all MCIE projects and personnel.
- Supervise and coordinate staff development to ensure a high standard of performance and a positive work environment; including regular evaluations of personnel for professional growth.
- Lead, encourage, and model collaborative work with funding organizations and other partners.
- Participate on boards and committees related to MCIE activities.
- Collaborate with the Provost of MSUB and the Dean of the College of Education to create longterm goals and strategic plans for MCIE
- Ensure MCIE personnel are familiar and in compliance with MSUB administration and academic policies and procedures.
- Manage specific programs within MCIE. For example, managing the Institution for Neurodiversity and the coordination of Movin’ On in Montana: An Enhanced E-Mentoring Experience project.
- Travel occasionally to meetings and/or conferences.

Education Required:
- Master’s Degree or higher
Experience Required:
- Experience with seeking and obtaining local, state, and federal grants and successful implementation of grant-funded projects
- 5 Years of leadership experience in a variety of capacities
- Experience working with diverse populations, including individuals with exceptionalities
- Experience implementing initiatives and projects in service to diverse populations
Education Preferred:
- Terminal Degree
Experience Preferred:
- 10 years of leadership experience and professional training in leadership
- Established connections at the local, state, and federal levels
