Dates of Employment: May 27, 2025 – August 18, 2025
The Specialty Program Director is responsible for ensuring that all camp programming is safe, engaging, and enjoyable for campers during both weeklong and short week camps while also assisting with weekend Camps.
The Specialty Program Director acts as program leader and instructor, leading and coordinating camp-wide activities, and ensuring that all special events run smoothly for a memorable camp experience.
The Specialty Program Director plays a key role in fostering a positive camp culture through creative activities, community building, and ensuring the well-being of all campers and staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide guidance and mentorship to Counselors-in-Training (CITs), supporting their leadership development throughout the camp season.
· Oversee the successful execution of cookout activities, which are weather-dependent and designed to be a fun, team-building experience.
· Coordinate and organize all field trips, including necessary paperwork, permissions, supplies, and logistics
· Collaborate with camp staff to ensure safety and transportation for off-site activities.
· Lead the All Camp activity block, a daily one-hour session where the entire camp participates in a single cohesive activity.
· Organize and facilitate All Camp Campfires at the beginning and end of each camp session, ensuring a fun and uplifting atmosphere.
· Assist in staff training and ongoing staff development
· Fill in as a Counselor as needed

Experience/Education
· High School diploma or the equivalent; one year camp program related experience and/or training or the equivalent combination of education and experience
· Experience in various activities based in arts and crafts, nature and outdoor survival, and teambuilding
· Experience working with youth preferred
· Minimum of 21 years of age in the 2025 calendar year and ability to transport campers in a 12 passenger van required
